Friday Feels: cat's out of the bag.

*Casual, average day with the team- tossing around some potatoes as a bonding activity.*

*WARNING, post may contain slight sarcasm*

If you’re an Idaho native and you’ve ever traveled anywhere outside of the 208, it’s likely you’ve had some variation of this conversation with a complete stranger at least once in your life:

Them: “Where are you from?”
You: Idaho
Them (option 1): ohhh, Iowa... ?
Them (option 2): wow, so how about those potatoes?

At which point you probably threw them an obligatory smile or laugh as if it’s the first time you’d ever heard a response like that. Over the past few years though, something changed... We’re not sure if it was the blue turf catching people’s eye, the countless Instagram selfies posted from the top of Tablerock, or the community full of great people that did it; but somehow- “the potatoes are out of the sack” (the Idahoan way of saying the secret is exposed).

The secret being, how amazing of a place Boise Idaho is to live with all four seasons, beautiful scenery, a wide variety of employment & entertainment options and an incredible group of citizens. People have realized it has more to offer than just tater tots and since they did, it is growing like crazy!

Families are moving here from all over- bringing jobs and economic growth along with cultural diversity and the desire to get their piece of the American dream in this great state. I love Idaho and am excited to share all it has to offer with both natives and transplants!
